The Center on Global Energy Policy was pleased to host a presentation and discussion with Angelina LaRose, Office Director, Office of Integrated and International Energy Analysis at U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), on the EIA's International Energy Outlook (IEO2016). IEO2016 presented updated projections for world energy markets through 2040. After remarks and presentation by Ms. LaRose, there was a moderated discussion.

Please join the Center on Global Energy Policy for a presentation and discussion with Nobuo Tanaka, non-resident Fellow at the Center, President of the Sasawaka Peace Foundation, and former Executive Director at the International Energy Agency. Tanaka-san will offer remarks on the current landscape of nuclear power and its outlook in Japan. After the remarks, Center Fellow Richard Nephew will moderate a discussion where Tanaka-san will be joined by Chris Gadomski, Head of Research, Nuclear, at Bloomberg New Energy Finance.

The Center on Global Energy Policy hosted the US-based release of the BP Energy Outlook - 2016 Edition with Group Chief Economist Spencer Dale. The BP Energy Outlook attempts to describe the "most likely" trajectory of the global energy system – based upon assumptions around economic and population growth as well as developments in policy and technology – as well as examining key uncertainties.
