The Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP) hosted a presentation and discussion on the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) 2015 Energy Efficiency Market Report with Philippe Benoit, Head of the Energy Efficiency and Environment Division, IEA. Energy efficiency has been referred to as a hidden fuel that extends energy supplies, increases energy security, lowers carbon emissions and supports sustainable economic growth. The IEA’s 2015 Energy Efficiency Market Report provides a basis for understanding energy efficiency market activities, a review of the multiple benefits that these activities generate, and statistical analysis of energy efficiency and its impact on energy demand. The 2015 edition also features special chapters on buildings, utilities, and for the first time, cities.
Following Mr. Benoit’s presentation, CGEP Fellow Keith Benes moderated a discussion with Mr. Benoit.
A podcast of this event (in addition to other past Center events) will be available ~3 to 5 days after the date of the event through iTunes or via our website.
