The Center on Global Energy Policy is pleased to present a panel discussion on Solar Power, Net Metering, and the Challenges to the Traditional Utility Model, featuring Carrie Hitt, Senior Vice President, State Affairs, Solar Energy Industries Association, and Rick Tempchin, Executive Director, Retail Energy Services, Edison Electric Institute.
As the solar industry has grown in recent years, net metering has rapidly become one of the most important energy policy issues addressed at the state level. This event will examine the current regulatory framework and consider the impact of increased solar deployment on the electric utility business model, with a particular focus on state net metering policies and politics. Inaugural Fellow David Sandalow will moderate the discussion.
