On Friday, April 14, 2017, Saudi Aramco's President and CEO, Amin Nasser, delivered keynote remarks at the Center on Global Energy Policy's Global Energy Summit. Following his remarks, Mr. Nasser sat down with Dr. Daniel Yergin, Vice Chairman of IHS Markit and a member of CGEP's Advisory Board, for a fireside chat to discuss some of the most pressing issues in the oil market.

CGEP is pleased to announce a new initiative to promote quality journalism covering the energy sector, a vital and increasingly complex topic for many consumers, industries and governments in the U.S. and around the world.

Jonathan Elkind, former Assistant Secretary for International Affairs at the United States Department of Energy, will join as a Fellow and Adjunct Senior Research Scholar. Elkind will focus on global energy geopolitics, clean energy innovation, and security dynamics in Russia, Eurasia and Europe.

Dr. Martin's work at the Center will focus on critical innovation, finance, regulatory and policy dynamics necessary to accelerate adoption of new energy technologies into the global market.

The Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP) at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) announced Richard Nephew today as a Research Scholar and Program Director of the Center's newly launched program on Economic Statecraft, Sanctions and Energy Markets. Nephew's work will focus on the intersection between financial statecraft and energy markets, particularly recent experience with energy sanctions.
