Todd Thaxton is Executive Director, Global Partnerships and Development at the Columbia Center on Global Energy Policy.

With experience in private equity and consulting, he has been successful in providing strategic, quantitative analysis, and advisory services to global firms and start-ups in technology, health, and energy. He has also led fundraising efforts to support research in public policy, neuroscience, medicine, public health, energy, and climate. Most recently, he worked on a project to help the City of Los Angeles transition to sustainability.

Thaxton is a member of the Pacific Council on International Policy. He serves on the Homeland Security and China Committees. He is a member of the Aspen Institute Society of Fellows, FBI Infragard Program, and Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle. Thaxton served as Founding Board Member and Chair of the Finance Committee of The World is Just a Book Away, a foundation that builds libraries and promotes environmental awareness internationally.

He holds his MPA from Columbia University with a focus on energy policy and international finance. Both his MBA and BA are from the University of Southern California.
