The Center on Global Energy Policy hosted a lecture by Stephen Creskoff, a leading expert on trade facilitation problems in developing countries. Poor trade facilitation has a major adverse economic impact on the energy sector of developing countries. The specific nature of the impact depends on whether the country is an energy exporter or importer and the type of energy being exported or imported. The presentation focused on specific countries that have both strong and weak trade facilitation environments as well as the efforts to improve trade facilitation at the international, national and local levels.
