Presented by the Financial Women’s Association of New York (“FWA”), this workshop will offer information that every woman needs to know about beginning to invest and creating financial security for the future. This session will include what you need to know about the different types of investments, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and exchange traded funds, and how you can get started building an investment portfolio. The presentation will also introduce the concept of impact investing, or socially responsible investing, as a way to participate in investments that have a positive social and environmental impact. Presenters will include experienced professionals who participate in the FWA’s financial literacy program, Financial Backpack: Lindsay Starr, Executive Director, Prospect Management and Client Coverage – Morgan Stanley Suzanne Matthews, Adjunct Professor & Director, Center for Financial and Economic Education – Westchester Community College Patricia Addeo, Veris Wealth Partners Jennifer Kusa, Senior Associate, Private Capital Investors – New York Life Registration is required.
