The following color-coded campus status levels have been developed to simplify communication regarding the current circumstances on and around the Morningside campus. The campus status level is based upon the potential disruption to our academic mission and/or campus operations. The status level will be adjusted up or down to reflect then-current circumstances, including information received from law enforcement and other sources regarding potential events that could affect Columbia. Continued adherence to university rules and policies remains fundamental to maintaining an open campus. Read more.

Erin M. Blanton

Vice President, GTI Energy

Biography

Erin M. Blanton is a Vice President at GTI Energy, where she leads the Zero Emissions Systems Team focused on reducing methane and other air emissions across the energy industry and building out a new program focused on the role of natural gas infrastructure in a net-zero future. She was formerly a senior research scholar at the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where she led the Natural Gas Research Initiative and spearheaded the center’s ESG research. Before joining the center, Blanton spent 16 years at Medley Global Advisors, an independent macro policy research firm, where she was a managing director and led natural gas and renewable coverage. Her clients consisted of the world’s leading hedge funds, asset managers, and investment banks. She is currently an advisory board member for Kimmeridge Energy Management’s Carbon Solutions Fund. Blanton holds a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a bachelor of arts in economics from Cornell University.
