Overview
From November 11 to 22, representatives from almost 200 nations will convene to discuss worldwide climate efforts.
The Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University SIPA is engaging with energy and climate stakeholders at COP29.
This year’s meeting is known as the “finance COP” because parties to the Paris Agreement are required to agree on the New Collective Quantified Goal on Climate Finance (NCQG), which must be set from a floor of $100 billion per year.
