Please join the Center on Global Energy Policy for a discussion on the water-energy nexus with Melanie Kenderdine, Director, Office of Energy Policy and Systems Analysis and Energy Counselor to the Secretary, US Department of Energy.
The world’s water and energy systems are tightly intertwined. Water is a key input in all phases of energy production and generation, and energy is essential to produce and deliver water appropriate for human use. As water scarcity and variability becomes an increasing challenge for governments and businesses around the world, Ms. Kenderdine will discuss the relationship between energy and water and the need to proactively address the water-energy nexus in order to ensure a reliable and sustainable future.
