Internet of Things (IoT) is increasingly important in the energy sector. It enables utilities to monitor customers' energy usage in real time, solar panel manufactures to remotely troubleshoot product failures, and consumers to save energy with smart home devices.

Join the Women in Energy program for a timely hands-on workshop on IoT technology. In this workshop, attendees will design and prototype an IoT system or product. Attendees will walk away with an understanding of how IoT will impact their current/future businesses, and the ability to create IoT software applications (see example). This workshop will be led by engineers from Temboo. No engineering or computer science background is needed to participate.
