Genna Morton is a native New Yorker and comes to the Center on Global Energy Policy with more than five years of government experience. She most recently served as Communications Director for New York City Council Member Brad Lander, where she acted as his spokesperson and managed strategic communications, including media relations, digital, print, and video content, and press events. Prior to returning to New York City, Genna managed the Washington D.C. press and communications operation for Congresswoman Grace Meng, and oversaw a policy portfolio that included energy, environment, and select social policy issues. Genna has a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature from Washington University in St. Louis.
