Lewis (Zhaoyu) Wu is a former Research Associate at the Center on Global Energy Policy. His research specializes in data-driven analysis of critical materials value chains, international trade of energy-related commodities, energy system transitions, and energy policies. Previously, he worked at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) on the Innovations and End-use Sectors team, focusing on quantitative analysis of the global EV-battery material supply chain, modeling critical materials supply and demand, and examining the policy implications of these dynamics.
Lewis holds a Master of Science in Data Science from Columbia University Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science and a Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Computational Physics from the University of California Irvine School of Physical Science.
