Director of Research Publications
Matt Robinson is Director of Research Publications at the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University SIPA. He joined the Center after 14 years covering energy at Thomson Reuters as an editor and correspondent. As Editor-in-Charge of Thompson Reuters’ coverage of energy markets in the Americas, he managed a team of 18 energy journalists covering oil, natural gas and power markets in North and South America.
Previously, he worked at Thomson Reuters as Senior U.S. Energy Correspondent based in New York City and Senior Latin American Energy Correspondent based in Caracas. He started his career as a reporter at the Energy Intelligence Group.
